What are your like/dislikes? I'm thinking of going from an 05 VLX to an 08 VTX. 99% of the time I run on a private lake and the VLX is just a little big. Also would be getting the power wedge on the new boat. Thanks for any input!

I got one last april, put 110 hours on it last summer. There are only 3 things that I dont like about it.

1. Glue in carpet
2. The chrome accent pieces on the windshield
3. I only have the three tank ballast system

I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about it.

Are you saying that you don't like the fact that it doesn't have the snap-in carpet?

Yeah, I'd prefer snap in, but its not really a huge deal

My last boat was ten years old and the carpet still had no smell or major stains. Although I could see it being nice to keep the boat much cleaner and neat.

I just had a hard time keeping it dry. I stored the boat on the trailer with the cover on, so it never really had a chance to dry out all summer.

It does seem a little more luxurious to have wrap around carpet on everything. Its an amazing boat to be in, but you do have to sacrifice just a little bit of practicality.

Point well made.

Get the carpet saver, and pull it out to let it dry. It's worth every penny

how does the wake in the VTX compare to the VLX?
How much weight do you guys put in your VTX?

got a vtx this spring and i have nothing but good things to say about it. With the 4 tank ballast plus a couple people the wake is very good. The wake is very comparable to a vlx. Nice about it being small is that it doesn't need much weight to make a big wake

all i can say is i chose the vlx because it has more room and who ever said they prefer snap in carpets.. well thats just the stuff for people that trash there boats, they need the carpet to take out so they can walk all over the seats and spill beer on the floor so they canhose it down later.lol sorry alot of delta experiance.lol keep to the carpet, its feels alot nicer and looks better in my opinion.

What would snap in carpet have to do with walking all over the seats?

i was just making a point, and joking. all in my opinion is having snap in carpet is nice yes and i would think it would be cool in my vlx but i was joking with the fact that people that i have seen on the delta using the snap in carpet are usually the same people that trash their whole boat. sorry about that i worded it all wrong... kinda late at night.
