compression skates still delam, just not as often. regardless, delam-ing is a warranty fix with even wood skates. cassette just has been having bad luck with their skates in the past few years. i would check out the skates that LF has. they have flats, wood concaves and compression molded skates. you can even get foam or grip on the wood concaves. i have one of their wood concaves (impulse) and its a sick skate. basically wood is still good, but compression is good too. and dont bother buying another 116cm board unless youre 250lbs haha. wakeskates are meant to be smaller than wakeboards and will ride differently. chances are the 107 byerly would work sizewise as long as youre below 200lbs.
