I installed my FAE on my 2002 Supra SSV and it has come off at the exhaust outlets twice. The first time I think I put it on too low and the wake plate must have pushed up on it and pushed it off. I had my wake plate at full up when I reinstalled it and it still came off. Am I missing something here?

I will phone my FAE dealer on Monday but I am hoping to use my boat tomorrow so any advice would be appreciated.

Make sure you use a socket and ratchet to tighten the hose clamps. They need too be TIGHT!

Is the down tube facing the correct way, so it's not acting as a scoop.

I cranked the hose clamps as tight as possible with a ratchet and yes the exhaust is facing the right direction.

Although the clamps need to be tight, the SS clamps can easily strip out. Are the support rods perpendicular to the FAE or the swim platform, they may be pulling on the FAE? Post a couple of pics!

The supporting rods are angled slightly towards the boat. I think I will take it apart and redrill the holes to angle them straight down.

Did you angle it up, so it will clear the
trim-tab?

Look here, http://www.freshairexhaust.com/images/ImageGallery.html

About 1/3 of the way down, Supra-Moomba photos,
look at the farthest to the right one.

Did you put it on like that?

Install pics, similar:

I spoke with the FAE guys today and it turns out that they sent the wrong parts for my boat. The Supra SSV needs a special bend in the pipes because the transom angles downward.

Oooh that didn't sound good. I hope your boat didn't get damaged.

No damage to the boat but the FAE is scratched from the wake plate pushing it up.
