Just reached a deal on a 2002 Malibu Sunsetter with 150 hrs, huge stereo, 3 Fat Sacs, tower, 2 board racks, 4 tower speakers, 325hp motor, perfect condition, for $22,000. How does this sound, did I get a decent deal?
Is it just a sunsetter or the the sunsetter LXI. If I remember right the LXI has the diamond hull or a similar ski hull where as the regular sunsetter has the wake hull. As for the price, if getting something with low hours that is really clean is a high priority for you it may be a pretty good deal.
I for one think NADA is absolutely worthless unless you are using it for the loan process. For example they value Calabria's atleast 25% too high. They also value Nautiques like crap.
It sounds like a good deal as long as its in good shape. Just check it over real well before buying it. I had a 99 sunsetter and loved the boat. Also post some pics when you get a chance.
