I liked both boards, but it depends on the size. The 138 Substance pops liked mad off the wake. I thought it had great speed too for a board with so much snap. It rode a little too tight on the water for me and landed way to hard...for me. It's a great board though. One of the all time favorites. The 140 I hated. Felt big, heavy and slow. I couldn't ride it.

I spent a good year on a Prodigy 140. I still use a 04 Platinum for my slider board. Again... a great board. Slower than the Substance and a little less poppy, but smoother, loose, and easier on the landings. The Prodigy would be my pick.

If you're considering the Prodigy, you should also look at the Tatto. It's a slightly modified Prodigy.
