What's the difference in comfort between cga and non cga vests???

non cga, you pretty much dont feel if your wearing a vest. with cga you definetly know you've got something on. i prefer non cga's.

Everyone says non cga vests dont float you but i have an oneil vapor and it floats me pretty much as good as my cga vest and waaayyyy mor comfortable.

Have you tried filling your lungs completely with water and then seeing if you float??? I'm thinking that if you tried that you'd find that it doesn't float you "pretty much as good."

I realize it's actually impossible to do that test, but that's why we have the Coast Guard.

the easiest thing to do if youre deciding whether to go cga or non-cga is just to get a cga. not only will a non-cga vest give you the risk of getting a ticket, but it also runs the risk of not exactly helping you float if knocked unconscious.
if you think about it, does extra comfort mean that much to you?
considering that some cga approved vests are pretty comfy. i own the o'neill law and its an amazing all-round vest.
i saw a post on here not too long ago where someone said something to the effect of if you cant land a trick with a cga vest on, a non cga vest wont make a difference
