Turned-down exhaust tips?

I know that these are an option on some of the new Malibu's, but does anybody know if there is a company that makes them as an aftermarket add-on for other boats? I wouldn't mind quiteing my exhaust just a bit, but don't want to go as far as the fresh air exhaust kit.

You actually do want a FAE. You just don't know it.

i would rather the turn down ones because you can still get good sound out of your exhaust where with FAE you lose that sound

My buddy has them on his malibu and hates them. It seems to leave a lot more black exhaust residue on the hull of the boat. At least that is his theory behind why the boat gets so black. I know that it sure seems to be a lot dirtier than any other boat I have seen. He was thinking about taking them off.

The name of the company that makes Malibu's silent exhaust tip is HPI. I ordered the exhaust tips directly from them this summer and paid half of the cost from Malibu.

I have to take my swim platform off to park my boat. How much of a pain is it to take off with FAE?
