hey i got a board for his if he wants...i am selling it $150 LF trip 138..great board. not for the master rider though...soft landing...i have really bad knees and this board does great on the landing. and i am 5'10 and weigh 160 so it should work for him if he is willing to buy the board and pay for shipping. I don't ride the new Murray but with 3.2" of rocker, I've ridden that board several times, even when I cased the wake behind our slammed 210, it is the softest landing board I've ridden and I'm 46 year old with bad knees and a heelspir, but I still do backrolls, hugh wake jumps/180's both regular, switch and toeside.

ride further out and land all your tricks on the downside of the wake. If you land way out in the flats all the time your going to take some pretty hard landings sometimes regardless of board.

I have heard some people say the fish lands a bit hard. I had a trip and it is not a soft landing either. TFD's are the softest landing boards I have ever ridden, temets land soft too but not as much pop as the tfd. I have heard the cwb marius lands soft, I have never ridden it though. I have a bad knee and ankle and the tfd is great, not as much pop as a byerly or any other 3-stage board, but you have to trade something for soft landings.

I ride a Trip, not soft landing. TFD is the softest landing board... I second Melvin!

The TFD is Sharpe's Hyperlite from last year and the year before. It is now called the 3DS.

TFD/3DS lands softer than a Marius in my experience, but has less pop.

Absolute Platty, with Hinge tech's either the Zues or wait for the new Faction's which should be hitting stores any day now! I never felt comfortable taking me tricks into the flats untill i got this awesome setup. Check out www.southerncaliforniawatersports.com They have a good selection and some smoking deals. Good Luck

The CWB's all land pretty soft, of the pro decks I'd say it goes Absolute, Transcend and then Marius from hardest landing to softest. The Marius is ridiculously soft IMO especially for how wide & poppy it is.

is there a significant difference in cushion by upgrading from ultras to transits? I assume transit have much more support.

i ride a fish, as someone above posted it has amazing, ridiculous pop, and usually soft landings. the only exception is that with the landings you have to make sure you dont land too nose or tail heavy, because since it's a shorter board it's a lot easier to eat it. but if you land at least decently on balance, it's a nice ride.

Marius is super soft on the landings. Another CWB shape to consider is the Pure or Flame. They both land amazingly soft for how big they can go. I dig the Pure because its a slightly smaller 3 stage. It's really fast and pops great. Really easy to take out to the flats and still lands nice.

lmao!!!!!! i haven't heard any MOOSE talk in a while. The Watson Lands REALLY REALLY soft. Another board to look at is The Watson. Oh, and did I mention that The Watson is a great board to get for the softest landings? Well it is. Between those three you should be able to find a super soft landing board. LOL!!!! -Nate

How does the Watson compare to the Substance in terms of landings and overall performance?
