i've been hearing people say that non-hyperlite bindings when put on a hyperlite dna will somehow mess up the board. This concerns me because i ride the Premier DNA with Transits on it, but don't notice any damage from them. Is this just a crazy rumor?

just a rumor, what probably happened was some persons bindings broke and pulled up the insert causing his/her DNA top sheet to come apart, hence messing up their board and when they took it to their local shop the sales person wanting to make a better sale told them that crossing brands will do that to boards....just my own theory.

I dont know if they mess up the DNA or not, but my friend has 05 alphas on his TFD and he has lost the screws 4 times in the past month and a half that he has had the board. It is like the screws dont match up or there is something wrong with his inserts. I have transits on my GB and have no problems

The hyperlite screw holes are recessed a little bit more than the rest of the brands, so you need longer screws. LF ones aren't long enough, you need another 1/8" or so otherwise they will come out like mike said.

The problem is not with the DNA it is with the old honeycomb. Non-elevated boots would putlarge heel dents in the honeycomb.
