How much extra weight can you put in a boat over the amount stated on the plaque and expect to float, get on plane, and turn. By the way I have an X2(X1).

Depends on how patient you are.

Realistically, You'll be able to add 3-4klbs. After that you'll be running out of space to add additional weight and the time to plane will be wasting so much gas you'll realize it isn't worth it to go with a bigger wake.

I don't think you will run out of room. With a combo of water and lead, I can run 3000 in my boat and still have plently of room.

In my x2, I really don't like the wake with more than about 2800 pounds. The wake gets tall a thin.

j Rod, you really use that much weight? I'd never guessed. You do a great job at hiding it

There was 2400 when you were driving.

my boat is rated to take like 2300# and i had about 4000# in it recently and it was fine, took forever to plane though :-(

I run 2200 lbs + in my SSV. I have no trouble getting on plane if everyone is sitting up front (I usually ride with no more than 3 + myself). If my boat guests are sitting in the back the boat is a pig to get on plane. However, with some guests sitting in back the wake is quite a bit nicer.

If you have perfect pass... and a wired remote to the throttle through your rope allt he way to your handle. You can do the following...

Un hook bilge pump... take boat plug out and let fill just far enough that water doesnt come over the side. That would be the most ballast I would recommend.

Good luck! Have fun!

Once again, would have never guessed. Handles really well with big weight. Most stuff I have driven with over 2000 handles like a sinking lunch box

J-rod, do you put in 2800 plus any passengers or just 2800 lbs total?
