I was wondering if there is any way to tightenthe shaft seal ina 00 supra lauch, it is direct drive. I am on vacation and this the first tome leaving in the water, having to run bilge about every 3-4 hours, will run for approx 2-4 minutes. Thanks for any suggestions or anyway to fix it. Sorry for any spelling errors, sent from phone. Just got ip to run bilge.

I have the same issue on my 86. I thought it was my rudder. I grabbed around the shaft where the rubber was and it had play and when I moved it the water stopped comming in. I drove after words and noticed it not leaking but thats not to say it will again. might be a quick stop till you can get it replaced.

I will try that. I bought the boat one year ago and the previous owner said that he replaced it two years before that. Didn't know if there was any way to tighten it.
