I made racks in my garage that holds eight boards with bindings, plus a wake skate, and wake surf board. Simply purchased two stnadard size 2x4's, 6 four ft. 1.5 inch thick dowell rods. Measured the distance I needed to fit a board and bindings, measured how long I need the dowell rods to be and cut them, measured equal distance from top to bottom on the 2x4, used a drill press to drill 1.5 inch holes in the 2x4 at a slight angle, drilled the 2x4 into existing garage wall studs, glued dowell rods into place. I spent 14.00 dollars, it looks really good and is super strong. I could have painted it to match the garage walls, but I wasn't that concerned with it matching, but it would look good painted.

I have the exact rack listed above. It's great. Keeps all of my stuff neat and off the floor.

Greg, I have been pricing those things, and I was like, no way am I going to spend that much money on one. Especially when I could build one for under $20. I was just getting ready to get started on it, and Im using the exact idea that you did.

Probably depends on how many boards you have to store, but the folding bike hanging racks at Lowes or Home Depot for $5 work great.
