I currently ride the Absolute Platinum, but got a chance to demo the '06 Transcend Platinum and the '06 Zues and 06 Duece bindings yesterday. WOW!! I am very impressed with CWB's 2006 product line. High performance and unbelievable comfort--if you get a chance--demo, demo, demo.
Any one in the Bakersfield area looking to ride and check out some gear, hit up Brandon Poser @ Westside wakeboard school..or just post and he will answer.

Speaking of CWB on a previous thread(too lazy to search) someone was talking about an 06 Flame with Torq bindings for $299. Is that an industry price or something he found online.

ADAM, that must have been something they found on the internet somewhere, even then I would be suprised about that price..... List price on that combo(Flame w/ Torq) is like $520.00 you can get that combo for $419.00 from most places though......

Looks like a premier, on the bottom. Is it 3 stage and if so how much of a flat spot does it have? If not what CWB's are 3 stage, I really like the extra pop.

absolute=3stage.

ill definately be buying that 06 platinum in the spring.

I also got a 06' absolute platinum and have fell in love. Squid's whoring days have ended.

Johnathan, I would say its a mellow 3 stage, it had a killer pop but is not a bucking pop it has a smooth killer release from the wake and the landings are very soft also by far the best board I have ridden of all boards. Most know I have ridden a few boards.

What is the Flat spot?? Anyone? Thanks Squid.

I just got my stuff tonight. Here's a shot of my 06 Flame with 06 Zeus. I won't get to ride it until Tuesday unfortunately. I also picked up Evan's 06 Pure. The all black deck looks nice.

The Absolute is a dope board. Squid, you'll dig that thing for a long time. I rode the '05 Absolute last year and thought I'd try something different, so I went with the Pure. It's such a cool looking board, plus its the '03 Absolute shape. Can't really miss with any of the Absolutes. The old ones have a bit less pop, but a bit more drive to the wake. A bit more of a "in the flats" kind of board.

My prediction is the best package deal of the year will be the Pure with Torq's or the Pure with Deuce's.

J-Rod;
Why the change from the asolute to the flame. sweet looking board though. I can't wait to get my new zues's damn order is late.

Agreed I think the Pure pkg and the Flame pkg. will kill it in 06. Both are sick, and you cant beat the price!!
Old     (stephan)      Join Date: Nov 2002       11-03-2005, 10:20 AM Reply
The Pure is the '03 Absolute shape and the Flame is the '04 shape. Those two are VERY similar shapes, the biggest changes came from '02-'03 and then from '04-'05.

I believe J-Rod has always been riding the '03 Absolute, so it is nearly the same shape he's always been riding. I also rode that shape and loved it, however I am a mellow cutting rider who really likes to kick high wake to wake and the new Absolute is perfect for this type of riding.

Yep I've always ridden the 03 04 shapes. For some reason the older Absolute shapes pop harder for me. Ithink my style fits the faster shapes better. I love the new shape too, but the slower board throws my timing off a little.

Everytime Itry to ride something else my friends say I go way bigger on the 04 Absolute shape.I wish they made the flame in a Platinum.

BTW guys. Iwanted to point out another cool thing about the new cwb stuff. Last night I noticed that the base plates on my new zeus are curved instead of being flat. This means that the toe and heel of the binding no longer sit elevated off of the board. This problem has increased along with our rocker lines. The zeus actually sit flush on the board. No heel and toe lift.

J-Rod, can I try out your board next week when your in Florida?
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       11-03-2005, 8:35 PM Reply
Absolutely. It might make you want to give up that Premier!

See you in one week!!! We're stoked!

Is there a difference between the 05' and 06' absolute platinum? The 06' is probably the lightest board I have ever felt.
Old     (olddude)      Join Date: Oct 2003       11-04-2005, 4:52 AM Reply
It might, my Premier is getting old and I'm in the market for a new board, I've had great luck with Hyperlite but I'm always open to trying new boards. If I like it better than the one I'm riding, I'll buy it and give someone else a chance to show how well they back up their products.
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       11-04-2005, 7:23 AM Reply
Paul. The 06 is a lot cooler looking, and has a different top sheet. The base is the same.

J-Rod. How about the weight. Is there any difference in the weight of the board between years?
Old     (twakess)      Join Date: Mar 2002       11-04-2005, 10:40 AM Reply
J-rod I think the shape has changed a little. Paul ha I can ride a board and make it look good (makes you wonder I heard it comes stock with rodeos and 540's). Sucka that two I sold now you and Jim.
Paul you need to ride that board I know why you don't want to the second you get it on you will want one.
