I ride the one and love it other than the landings. I switched to the transend a little slow for me, lands better yet I would like something that lands super soft I am 34 and my knees need some love with 2 new acls. I am in new orleans and there are no shops to demo the 3 boards. I like a fairly fast board like the shane I want super soft landings yet I like them a little loose I rode the 3ds and did not like it at all. any help on the watson/lyman/or slingshot would be great the boat I run is a 04 san210

The Watson may be a little slow for you, but it's landings are incredible, it tracks well, and breaks loose when you want it to, but like I said, it's not the fastest of boards. From what I've heard about the lyman, it has the soft landings, rides really loose, and is fairly quick.

I have a 210 and love the SS... rode the lyman behind it too and it was faster than the SS but landed a LOT LOT harder and pop WAY WAY LESS.

No clue on the watson, sorry

The SS is seriously an awesome board

The problem with your knees could be the 210 but I would also vote for the Slingshot... I currently ride the Watson but would love to get a Slingshot if not for a huge cost. The Lyman I cant comment on.

Never ridden the watson or Lyman. But i am really diggin' Slingshot. Never will ride a traditional-non-flex-board again! I am sure you will feel the same after a demo set or two!

The response will ride a little faster than the recoil, so maybe you might want to try the response, but try both if you can.

I'm 43 and the lyman lands softer than my marius......but prob not as soft as ss. and its fast as hell.

Sounds like the SS response is the board for you. Fast, easily broken loose, VERY soft landings. Honestly, I have bad knees too, I can only ride a flex board without any pain now.

I guess I will buy a sling shot I have not really ridden a continuous rocker only three stage will the response pop like a 3 stage

I still went with 3 stage personally,But i never demoed both behind the same boat... i know there i have heard of a couple of guys who went continuous despite their 3 stage past.

The continuous (response) line has a bit more flex in it too, so that is something to consider.

So, I took my Watson out behind a sante 210 for the first time the other day, and re fell in love with the board. Pops like a dream, and landings like your falling on clouds. The only complaint that I have with it is that it's not quite as agressive as I would like it to have been, which is something I wouldn't have discovered after only a demo ride, as it took a few sets to figure that out.
