No, there was nothing wrong with the boat. I spoke to the owner, who runs a ski school out in Colorado, and he just replaces his boats every year. He has a ski boat and a wakeboard boat, and although the ski boat (2004 ProStar 197) had over 400 hours on it, the X-2 only had 115 hours. He obviously teaches a lot more skiing. Anyways, he just said he listed it with no reserve to try and get rid of it, and didn't seem to care if it didn't fetch over $40k. If only there were other 2004 X-2s out there for $40k.

I purchased my boat off of eBay, you can certainly find some good deals, though you have to pay close attention. Mine was a dealer demo '02 Super Air Nauty, purchased in '03. I got to finance it as a new boat, as i was technically the first owner. Cost me $1,200 or so to ship it to CA from Ohio, but it was still a great deal...
