I purchased a 2007 210 this spring and have now gotten around to reworking some things with the stereo that the PO had done and add a Clarion EQ for better sound and an aux input for the mp3 player. 3 amps - (sub, tower, house). The amp for the house is the Clarion 480. It is currently bridged two channel running to four of the Polk Momos (mid and rear speakers). The front two Polk Momos are being run off of the HU (Clarion CMD4). This presents a problem - when I am running off the MP3 through the EQ, I don't get sound through the bow speakers. Also, if I run through the HU then the tower and four house speakers are not at the same level as the bow speakers. How should I rewire the speakers to all run through the Clarion? Thanks,

Wire the port bow on chnl 1, the stbd bow on chnl 2, port mid and rear speaker wired in parallel on chnl 3 and stbd mid and rear wired in parallel on chnl 4. This gives each bow speaker 80 watts and each main cabin speaker about 60 watts each.

Mike,

Thanks - that is what I was leaning towards. I have never actually looked at how the mid and rears were wired, but I assumed that since the PO had them bridged two channel that they were already wired in parallel. I think that was the factory setup actually.

John,

Run the 480 amplifier like this:

Two channels to the bow speakers (stereo 4-ohm).

Two channels to two pair of the cockpit speakers in parallel (stereo 2-ohm).

Put the EQ on the driver's side so the front rear/sub zone controls are at your fingertips.

The EQ has triple stereo preouts:
Front= All in-boat speakers, Rear = Tower, and Sub = Sub amp.

Either an Ohm meter or a visual inspection will determine how they are wired, but if they are wired in parallel and bridged, that has probably been kinda rough on that amp as it is not stable at less then 4 ohms in bridge mode.
