I'm considering buying a home on a ski/wake lake. I was wondering if those of you who have experience with this can lend me a few of your insights into the good and bads. Probably more good than bad I'd imagine. I'm also considering building one and putting a few other lots on the other side to sell and help pay for this crazy habit. Any info would be appreciated.

We sold all of our lot a few years ago, property in the past few years has tripled here. Lot 15 is for sale, they're asking 270K. Lot is 1 1/4 acres. City water/sewer and underground utilities. Within a 1.5 miles to schools/shopping/banks, resturants/golf/courthouse. This development is in town, not miles from know where!
