seems odd that the ronix assault article features mainly Chad and Harfs old boards from hype!!

What do you mean by "featured?" It's not an ad for Ronix, it's an article on an event. There is a shop at the Lagoon that sells Hype, Liquid Force, Ronix and more. Obviously, they aren't going to hide all their products, banners, etc. just because Ronix is using the lagoon. There is also a Liquid Force pop-up over the eating area that all the Ronix guys used and Hyperlite banners all over the place. Ronix was just using the place for the weekend, so I don't think they had the time or desire to Ronix sanitize the place.

There was a kid from Idaho, 13 or 14 YO that seemed to be talked about by a lot of people there. The outlaw riders I knew were saying this kid was off the hook with style and lots of mobes and technical tricks. Not sure of his name, but he definitely got noticed.

Sick, I dig what they're doing. I think all board companies should be out there looking for young talent the way the Ronix is. There are so many kids around with skills that will go un-noticed if not for something like this.

Good idea, but bad scheduling, Canyon Lake & NorCal WWA events the same day...

Unfortunately, all the riding took place pretty far from the dock, so it wasn't something you could sit and watch. You could only watch if you were in the boat and I only went out once.

I assumed that all of the riders were using their current setups so that they could ride their best on what gear they are comfortable with. It would be hard to go out and land tricks in a pressure situation on unfamiliar equipment.

Yeah, it wasn't a demo day for Ronix equipment. Everybody brought their own gear and that's what they rode on.

Justin Butinsky tried out for the team in Orlando. Aparently it went well. They invited him back the next day to the projects.

Sweet congrats Justin.

Its killer to see Ronix go more grass roots style.

dave, sorry if any offence was taken, just thought it was quite funny that the majority of riding photos featured chads and dannys old boards. didn't mean anything by it

No worries. I'm not offended at all. I understand where you're coming from. I was just trying to explain it. Sorry if it sounded like I was upset or anything like that.
