$1.65 for regular here in Louisville,KY. Here's my prediction: $.99 by Memorial Day after we kick Saddam out and have ExxonMobil bring Iraq's oil fields into this century.

Ouch, sore topic! The BC government decided that Wednesday night was a good night to announce an increase of 3.5 cents/litre in gas taxes!

I know this a little of topic But: I think gas Prices Here in San Francisco Bay Aera are going to go Way up if we go to war and Gas is going to be already jacked because Of summer time, then you add in a potential war. I hope we don't see gas up in the $3.00 mark. We will be tied up and doing a lot of partying to protest High Gas prices "Darn"

In Sweden we pay $4.45 and the price has not been lower then $4.00 the past 3 years. Itīs the high taxes in this countrie that do it, the incometax is 35% if make less then $33 840 and 50% if you make more then that. Itīs very pricy to buy trucks, suv:s(VAT 25%) and very pricy to drive them. I donīt think itīs good fore the economy to have this high taxes. A company pays an employee $33 000 a year and the goverment around $30 000 in charges and taxes. Politicians are vultures, we should put them in a submarine in the middle of the atlantic ocean and sink it. Everybody that pays $1.77 a gallon should be really happy if you compare to $4.45.

Kristoffer, that's the difference between the US and Europe. In Europe the government is setup for everyone to exist, where in the US the government is setup for the majority to live. You guys are way over taxed and you are correct it is not good for the economy.

Kristoffer..... Maybe we should stick Pres. Bush in that Submarine!!!

save your gas reseats, b/c any gas that you us in your boat you can write some off on your tax return b/c part of the taxes are road taxes and yoou us your boat in the water. I think thats how it works here in texas.

Kristofer....You have my sympathies....
With taxes that high the government of Sweden must have a huge surplus....Either that or you must have a large number of people contributing nothing to the tax base...

Maybe if enough people of Sweden wanted to they could dump their Socialist leader and lower taxes.
Then gas prices could represent their true market value...

There are plenty of liberals here is the USA who would love to follow the lead of socialists in Sweden and tax the life out of the productive members of U.S. society to hand over to their pet programs....

Speaking of taxes... Has anyone ever noticed how much tax we pay PER gallon in CA?

Next time you're filling up, look for the little "tax" sticker on the pump (it's easy to over look). Basically it's around .50 cents a gallon! That's about 25 - 30%.....
