I just put Air bags on my truck and today I was towing my boat for the first time with the Air Bags and wow... what a world of difference. My truck now sit level while i'm towing and the boat does not toss the truck around, much more stable, and smoother ride... i Love it

What kind of truck do you have Aaron? I have an 04 F250 FX4. I have been thinking of lifting up and possilby some air bags if need be. I have only towed my boat once with it so far and I dont think I really need them. Anyone lift an 04 F250 yet?

I have an Dodge Durango... SUV.. Overall it towed well stock, but i didnt like how the back end sagged and you hit a bump and you can feel the boat pushing you around. And for me it made a world of difference

Which system(brand)did you go with? Did you install a compressor as well? How much air (psi) are you using? How heavy or what type of boat do you tow? Single or double axle trailer? I am thinking of adding the air bag system to my 2WD F-150.

i'll have to look about which brand i got... I did not get a compressor, but the cool thing is they put the caps where i add the air in place of the screws on my license plate frame. THey handle from 10-100 psi. I have they about 60-70 psi for towing the boat. I have an 01 Centurion air warrior and with everything in there it is weights somewhere around 3800lbs. It has a double axle trailor...

I'd let you know that I just bought them for the Sequoia, but didn't want to inspire the usual "Toyota's not a real truck" flame. Seriously, I just realized that we're so friggin close to max tongue weight, max truck weight, max trailer weight and max overall rig weight. Really want to go hit a local public scale and see exactly what's up. Heard from our trailer mfr that the Epics were much heavier than advertised (3200). The springs on the Sequoia are coil, so I had to go with Coil-Rites from Firestone. Supposedly rated to 35psi, and 500 to 1000lbs load carrying. The good news with them is that they're under $100 delivered. Sweeeeeeet.

I put a set of air bags and compressor on my 1/2 ton Silverado after the first season I had my boat. That was the best investment I ever made. I higly recommend air bags for 1/2 tons, probably not needed on a 3/4 ton to pull a boat.

Saw an Excurbinator pulling a Moomba Mobius down the freeway last week, and am pleased to report that even the mighty F-250/350-equipped SUV was sagging in the rear. In fact, it was sagging as much as the Sequoia does. Must've had lead in the bow and four linebackers in the third row ;-)

My GMC 2500HD has no sag and with the 8.1 engine I don't even know that my X-2 is behind me.

rich x2 owner - the 8.1 is awesome, but the gas mileage was horrible for me. went to the duramax, pulls well, but you have to wait a sec for the turbo t0 kick in. gonna chip it and hopefully get close to the same "feel" and acceleration of the 8.1.

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 with the 4.7 V8 and just feels like it strains. I was curious on how someone else with the same engine thought about it.
