I was looking at a 2001 Nautique Super Sport that has about 150hours on it. The boat is in really good condition and has a clarion CD player. All the vynal is in great shape. Here is a link. The boat has no ballast system.

I would be trading in my 1993 sport nautique with a new dimension tower and racks, 480 hours, perfect interior, trailer, and gelcoat. I would gut the stereo except for the head unit. The color is purple and black

In the end, this boat would be 26K and my trade value of about 12K. Should I do it or should I wait for this place to get a SAN that needs no transformation for about 5K more?

I think it's a good deal, not a great one. It sounds like you are getting a really good deal on your trade in though. I don't know if you would be able to sell your boat for that much right now.

Don, for a long time there has been a guy in Cali listing a 2001 or 2002 SAN for 28. It has everything you already need. That boat looks like you would have to spend an additional 7 grand at least to equal what the other boat has.

And here is a 2004 for a ridiculous deal.

I take it you bought the one in florida? I was looking at thet too and it seemed like a good deal but needed gel work and the guy ha no idea how many hours were on it, he was just telling me 110 until I called him on the replaced gauges then said he didnt know how many it had.

If it wasnt the same boat than never mind, but in either case, that seems like an extraordinary good deal. The good thing is I know the local boats are not salt boats :-)

Don, they're asking way too much for that boat, especially in this economy. Check blue book on it. I bet it's well below 20K

BTW, that Super Sport at MN Inboard is in rough shape. Major spider cracking, a few torn seats and the rubrail is shot. FYI

Chad, thanks for that info on the MN inboard one. I was actually going to go out there today, but got sidetracked.

Don, Like I said before...there are WAY better deals on 2008+ Nautiques, just listen to me for once, I know you never do, ha!

Well he's stepping in the middle of his D!ck to buy your boat which is great as it's probably worth 10ish if you sold it. However, the price on his is more than I would pay unless it was totally ready to ride. It looks amazing though meticulously maintained with low hours. I'll say what I always say if you're happy with the deal and your monthly payment make it happen.

I wouldn't say you're getting ripped off but it is by no means a good deal.

If you can drop 30k you can get a lot of nice stuff these days.

Don, I'm a ways away from you, but if you're willing to travel, I'm planning to relist my 2002 SAN in the next few months. It is much nicer than the boat you're looking at, full stereo system, upgraded gauges from the crappy digital ones, nice stereo system, perfect pass, board and surf racks, fresh air exhaust, dual axle trailer with swing away tongue, and well taken care of. I won't go a dime lower than $28k right now, and is MUCH more boat than what you're looking at. Here are the pics, contact me at tommytg@hotmail.com if interested:

"a 2001 or 2002 SAN for 28, or '98 in exactly the same shape for $13,5K or 01 SAN w/ 110 hours on it for $21K last month"

These are crazy insane deals. Do you pass up a reasonable sale to hold out for a lucky deal? I don't think so.

No tower or anything really adds to your cost as well.

I think 26k for an 01SAN is a fair deal, could be a bit better in todays market, but then again my opinion is only worth about two cents.

Oh and selling your 93Sport for 10k is also crazy insane.

Dude I'm an MC guy and I'm telling you to buy Tommy's boat. I'll personally stop by this summer to inspect the wake, no charge!

Im with you mike. I have a hard time swallowing the thought that my boat is worth 10k. I would be willing to see it go for 14k but 10 seems pretty far fetched to me.

Yates, That 2004 is a good deal. I was close to buying, but it has 1600 hours on it.
