I have done it before (only once, I learned). It is a huge pain and it takes forever to fill & empty because you need a smaller hose to pump the water in and out.

FYI... I would take those lovely ladies out on the boat anytime. Just ask any of my friends what happened at the Beaver River Regatta Ski Show last year when there was not enough weight in our boat...

sand works great... but honestly, bags really aren't that bad:

Man the best thing I have found are the quikcrete 50lb bags of the tiny playground rocks. They sell the bags at lowes and home depot for like $4 bucks a bag. I bought 300lbs worth and threw it up in the front of my closed bow prostar. The bags they come in are fairly tough too no breaks or leaks. I think it would be alot easier to clean up than sand bags as well if one did bust.

you can pick up the 50 lb bags of sand, and then get the empty sand bags to put them in. I did this in my older close bow malibu, and I just double bagged them. had about 350 lbs of those. real cheap, and worked great. no worries on the sand bags leaking either.

I use those rubbermade totes from walmart.

I had a 1200lb fat seat but it was a pain to fill and empty. I grabbed 3 76l totes from walmart and they fill and empty in no time. Best $25 lol
