your HU may have a plug in the back? If you have RCA inputs on the back of the HU you can plug in thru that, or buy an eq/line driver with an aux input. Just a few suggestions. There are a number of ways.

the back of my kenwood head unit has a socket to accept a optional 10 disc cd changer and kenwood makes an adapter cord converting that socket to a RCA jack and thats how I plug the ipod up to my system. like 25 dollars

Sorry to hi-jack, but can someone tell me what is better, plugging into the headphones plug, or using a mount that uses the bottom connector.Any sound quality differences??

If you have a kenwood deck get the KCA-IP500 interface ($00 new or about $70 on ebay new). You plug it into the CD changer port in the back of the deck and the other end into your iopd. You then can control your Ipod with your deck. You wont be able to use all of the functions of your Ipod but you will be able to access all of your songs. It plays flawlessly and sounds better than CD's.

I have this, I got it at radio shack for $50 but I bet if you chech ebay you could find one cheaper. All you do is plug this into the ipod and also in the 12V jack and your ready to go. It is real quick and easy. Also sounds great.

I just installed the new Clarion into my V215 and found this little Gem:

It controls the ipod through the radio and/or remote. Works great and fully integrated!
