CWB Bindings

Was riding 06 Zues Looking to get new bindings. Everything iv read on the new pair says the coil system breaks. The factions have great reviews. If I shoot for the facitons, am I gonna notice a Better or Worse felling compared to my last binding.

I have both the 06 Zues and the 07 Fuses and would highly recommend the Fuses....I was worried not having the hinge but the Fuses are just as easy to get on/off and are more supportive with great heal lock and the best cushioning foot bed out there. IMO they make you feel part of the board.

And thats what I loved about my Zues. Is The fact they mad me fell I was attached to the board, and the ankle suppourt. Whick ones do yo ride more?

I ride the Fuse's more, they have better ankle support and with the rear laces I feel I can get them tighter and more locked in.

Im probly just gonna go try some on. I just read reviews and pple say their hard to get on and off.

to me they are the same as the zues's as long as you loosen them all the way...ask around I know a lot of people ride them for the support

If your looking for the same feel without the hinge then go with the 07 Fuse.
The recoil system on the Zeus is great and some have had problems with the knot thats all easy fix, they are great bindings.
Cant go wrong with the Fuse or the Zeus.

so whats breaking isint a big deal. Im just not about to pay 400 dollars and they break. You know?

There not breaking, some of the knots that hold the laces to the boots are loose and coming undone thats all, nothing is breaking, if you get a pair just check the knots and if they are loose then re knot them and problem solved.
But I do understand what you are saying.

If you contact CWB, they have new overlays for the top of the 07 Zues that are lace ups - no coil system(w/ 3 loop holes for snugger fit).
People were wanting an option other than recoil- so now they will send you the new overlays for free.

I just got some in and its a piece of cake to change them out. You just remove a couple of screws.

As for the limiteds (cwb is out). hopefully some dealers may still have your size.

but isint the whole point of the binding to have the lace up

TAYLOR -

The new overlays are lace up with 3 loops.
The 07 Zeus - come with the recoil system and 2 -loops.

The overlays just use Laces and not the Recoil system. Plus you get an extra loop to tighten for a snugger fit.

I like the recoil system and have had ZERO problems with mine, I like the laces to recoil up in that thingy, keeps the laces from flapin around and I have had no problems with not getting the bindings snug enough.

Just noticed I did not mention, I had NO PROBLEMS with my recoil.

I have killer ankles and just was looking for a better hold on a hinge binding, and the guy at CWB told me about this option.
