Anyone know generally what the value of a 99 Super Air Nautique tandem trailer with aluminum wheels and disk brakes in very good condition would be? I can't find any good references and dealers, of course, won't give me an accurate answer (i'm trying to trade for a tandem galvanized).

2k tops probably... the hard part is finding a buyer.... trying to find someone looking for a specific trailer will be the tough part

unless your loaded and have nothing better to spend the money on.......there is nothing wrong with the trailer you have .....your just gonna blow 3000 dollars plus to get a trailer you already have except being galvanized, 3000 buys alot of other nice things for your boat. Your trailer will outlast you if you take care of it.

For reference, I just got a Phoenix (aluminum beams/galvinized crossmembers trailer) for $5200 for a new x2. the MC version was over 6K and wasn't as nice IMO. I doubt a dealer would trade, but you may find someone that just bought a new boat who never trailers and make a deal with them. here is a picture

Why not just get the current trailer galvanised? Would be cheaper...

hey 1 boarder, Nice X2, got to love carolina MC. We got our X2 SS from them this past summer. What kind of rims are on that trailer? My MC rims are starting to show signs of salt already, because the salt is getting under the clear coat on the alm. rims.

Chad has been great to deal with. I highly recommend Carolina MC. The rims are stock on 08 Phoenix trailers. I don't know any more info on them, but Chad probably does.

"Your trailer will outlast you if you take care of it." What even in brackish/saltwater? Mine had holes in it after 3 years.

I got an aluminum from McClain for $3200. That was about 2500-3000 cheaper than a painted. http://www.wakeboatworld.com/newTrailer My old trailer, single axle and showing some age, sold for only $500. (Message edited by olSkoolTige on January 17, 2008)

Tandem axle, 22ft trailer, surge brakes electric w/lockout (you can order with e-brakes). They are in Texas. I have several dealers around here due to the basin and marsh not being very far away. The trailer was ordered through Mike's Trailer Depot in Baton Rouge. The trailer is built to order and then fitted at your local dealer. Nearly every boat (mostly center console fishing boats) in South La. I see is on a McClain. http://www.mcclaintrailers.com/

exactly what options did you get on that trailer? The McClain people are quoting me $3700 for a basic 21' Trailer for a 99 SAN. Its a few hundred extra for the electric brakes.

Does that include delivery? Don't buy direct from McClain. Call a dealer. The trailer in that picture is model ATT2252 (which fits my boat perfect and should yours as well). Options were a cutout for the shaft and prop, galvy wheels, guide poles, and surge brakes. I also ordered it with centering bunks, but they were not required once fitted. My OTD cost (lifetime plates, registration, taxes, etc) was under $3400. I purchased through Redmond's Marine here in Lafayette. I can throw a rock and hit the building from where I work. http://www.boatdealerworld.com/Louisiana/Redmonds-Marine-12842.html (Message edited by olSkoolTige on January 17, 2008)
