I was thinking about buying a 2 Pro 60's to go along with my Pro 80's. I can't fit another pair of Pro 80's on my tower but I think the Pro 60's would possibly fit.

Here is my question, how do the pro 60's sound compared to the pro 80's? Is there a big difference? How uch power do the 60's need to each speaker? I think I am running 250 to each Pro 80 and they are loud.

the pro 60 are great they just dont have quit as much bass from them but they are killer. have you thought about a pro 485 matched with your pro80s this is a kick azz combo for sure! i would check it out if i were you. but the 60s will be sweet as well.

I would imagine that 60's would go well with the mb8's but not the pro80's. I would tend to think the 60's won't add much with having a pro80 present.

Flight - Can you post a picture of your current tower set up. Wetsounds offers many more mounting solutions than others on the market. You might be able to fit another pair of the Pro80s with the swivel mount in a creative placement. The Pro60s will have similar sound to your 80s except even less midbass. You will only be adding vocals and treble to your existing sound. If at all possible I would recommend the MB-8s to give a fuller sound unless you just want more of the same sound you have now.

Flight,

The PRO 60's are 150 watts rms. The PRO 60 uses the same HLCD as the PRO 80, it is just toned down a bit to pair with the smaller mid bass. The mid bass is about the same size magnet as the 80 as well. The PRO 60 will have a bit less output and a bit less mid bass since you are going from an 8 inch to a 6.5 inch. But we have had a ton of people do the 80's on the outsides with the 60's on the insides. (the texas ski ranch Nike 6.0 demo boat is set up like this) It sounds great. So if you are getting a good deal, it is a great set up and works very well.

Hey Tim what do you think about powering 4-650's and one xs 12" with a kicker 700.5?

we have had a lot of people use that amp and have been very happy with it. 70x4 for the XS650 will be good and the sub portion will do 420x1 for the XS12. So you will be set.

Thanks Tim after looking at my tower I am not sure I could even fit the 60's on. I may have to go with the 485 in the middle. Unless i think out of the box and hang the 60's on the outside of my tower?

Flight,

Is the tower really that narrow? We have that same set up on one of our 16' company jet boats with our Edge universal tower. It is very narrow and fits well!

Tim,

I just bought an 08 Malibu 247, my concern is the head room so I decided to go with either the MB8's or Pro 80X and Pro 60X in some sort of combination. My question is; which would be a better set up, 1 set of MB8's and 1 set of 60's or 1 set of 80's and 60's? One of your staff said I would not be able to mount MB8's and Pro 80's on the sides of the XS tower is that true?
I just would like to know the best set up for the tower without speakers on the center of the tower.

I will run adequate power to the speakers.

Tim I really appreciate your help and your products.
