Fitting closed toe bindings

Hey guys, I was in my local shop today trying on last years shane's and was wondering how a closed toe boot is supposed to fit. Do you want your toes pressed up against the front of the boot, or with some space? Also, do closed toe boots pack out similar to snowboard boots? I wear an 8.5 shoe so I'm trying to decide between the 7-9 or the 9-10. Thanks a lot for the help.

toes should brush the end, just like a snowboard boot. yes they will pack out some, almost any material will once its first used, plus those are "heat moldable" liners...i just got the 06 ltds a few weeks ago and love them. i wear a 11 shoe and i got the 10-11 and they are perfect.

I have the '06 Shanes and I wear an 10 shoe and i went with the 10-11, because I tried the 9-10 first but they were too tight and I had too loosen up. Besides I can tighten the 10-11's up enough with the straps where they aren't going to come off unless I hit super hard. And one more piece of advice, if you are attempting to do a big flip or a raley where the fall could be really hard, I would recommend loosening up the bindings before you tried. The first time I tried the Raley i had my boots on really tight and I hit on my toeside edge, and when I hit, I hit so hard and actually loosened the bolts on the bindings. And I've noticed it doesn't slam you nearly as hard if you loosen up your boots a little. But if i were you i would go with the 9-10, I would rather have more room than no room

I wear an 8.5-9 shoe and i also got the LF shane LE and I got the 9-10 mostly because im growing and need extra room to grow. If youre young and still growing like me get the 9-10 and if your full grown then get 7-9
