Went out the boat (keep it at a marina) this weekend and the battery was dead from bilge float being stuck in the on position. Anyone ever have this problem? Do I need to replace the bilge and/or the internal float? Or can I just spray some silicon or something on it, it seems to be moving freely now...

Mine did this last week as well. Luckily I noticed it before I left and disconnected the battery. It was too late to try to resolve the issue, but I went down later and just cleaned out around the pump. It seemed to be clogged with some slimey stuff. Seemed to work fine after I cleared that off. Maybe thats all yours needs. Its worth a try.

I think that is what it was as well, I will clean it when I get home and maybe spray some silicon on it. Just glad the boat wasn't taking on water while it was in the slip...
