For some reason I received the "Pontoon & Deck Boat - Buyers Guide" magazine in the mail today. For an even more strange reason... I read it. I was flipping through pages when I saw a Sun Deck Hurricane Deck boat with a tower on it. I read the article and yep... they are advertising it as a "wakeboard boat". I guess it doesn't really look that bad but just because you put a tower on a boat can you really call it a "wakeboard boat". The price - $41,355. Hmmm should I get the new Sun Deck boat with a tower or a Malibu VLX.....

Wakeboard Deck boat

Cool, I see about 7 spots to put an automatic ballast. I would rather be seen in that than a Malibu.

It looks like the new x-star to me.

Why not? Just because you put a tower on a Prostar 190, they call it a wake board boat.

Much better for skiing IMO.

Don't laugh too hard! Rumor has it that Malibu is working on a inboard deck boat... I can't say any more!

It is not too far off from the new X-STAR.

Okay, so it doesn't look as sexy as a Super Air TE or SSV or VLX. But what is wrong with exploring that direction? I would love to have a nice big boat that could seat 12 easily, had plenty of room for a keg on deck, a sweet system, and threw out a perfect wake without burning a ton of gas.

What's so repulsive about the boat shown above? I'm just curious what you guys think, not trying to stir things up here.

I agree Jason.
I probably would not buy it, but I don't mind it a bit.

if they tweak the hull to not give the washed out wake typical of deck boats, I think it would be sweet.

The windshield looks like it could
have come from a skiboat.

It really doesn't look that far off the Xstar.
Guess thats why the Xstar is considered to
be a pretty boat...pretty UGLY!
