I don't care if it's your dock or one you saw in a magazine, a piece of crap or a million-dollar structure. Let's get a thread going with everybody's dock setups.

Just got it done in June. Still working on the walkway, and the swim platform will be next year. Fun when you build things yourself...they take forever!

There's something wrong here, we're showing off our docks while everyone else is showing off their wives on the "Boat Bun" thread!

Hear is my Beauty. Oh, yeah! Don't start getting jealous, now. I actually donated it last weekend to the CLWK for their event at the Elsinor Channel. I loaded it on my Sanger trailer; what a sight to see going down the road. I hope they can make some fun slider or fun boxes with it!

This was all before the hurricanes. You can see off of I-4 in Orlando. Great party place too.

And he uses a generic tarp to cover his boat. This is my brothers new slip (next to the pontoon).

Can't put in anything permanent in Minnesota, the ice would crush it where we live.

Yes, it's Rabun in northeast GA. Great grandparents moved a log cabin up there in '53 which is the 'family' place and my parents built their own place several years ago. The photo is of my parent's place just off the upper basin. It's too crowded on the weekends unless you're up early, but during the week is like heaven.

Now this was a good day...after the rain stopped. I built the dock out of 3 other docks, very simple single slip set up. Next summer new slip and a thrasher pontoon boat, anyone need a ride to "lost isle"?

It seems odd to me that most of the docks pictured are made for the sole purpose of mooring the boat. I hang out on my dock all the time even though it needs some refurbishing. My neighbors just built a dock that is like an outdoor living room. My neighbors dock (no pics of mine) http://www.endofropegang.com/cpgnuke/modules/coppermine/album/userpics/10006/normal_boathousesettingup.jpg

Kirk, I knwo I my lake we have restrictions on how wide the botom portion of yoru dock can be, so most will add a second story but the cost jump significantly. Antoher factor for me on not buidlign a second story was water depth...it's only abotu 4.5 feet deep....I could just see soem moron trying to jump off the second story. Plus my house is no more than 30 yards from the bulkhead and my deck is more fun to hang out on.
