I've got an '04 Supra Launch SS and my perfect pass is messing up. I have it set on 21.7 mph and it used to stay within .5 mph either way, but now it randomly jumps around from 18 to 25 mph.

I had service done on my boat and they had to replace the perfect pass cable. Does this have anything to do with why my perfect pass not working right anymore?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have had my boat worked on 3 times in the past 3 weeks and each time something else goes wrong with my boat.

Has anyone else had a lot of problems with Supras?

Sorry to get off on a tangent but I'm pretty pissed right now.

Check you connectors and ground wires first. Sounds like an intermittant contact or corrosion issue.

Andy-What problems are you having? Keep in mind the problem you're having now is more than likely a Perfect Pass problem, not a Supra problem.

Email Perfect Pass directly, they're great guys and will do their best to help you out.

You should run an auto tighten test and inspect your paddle wheel. I have all the tests in word documents if you're interested. They're pretty simple and you don't have to take your boat to the dealer.

Check to make sure the knob is tight on the actuator on the motor and the cable is tight. Same thing happened to mine. Knob became so loose one time, when you gave it throttle, nothing happened. If you need adjustment specs, let me know. I've already talked to the people at Perfect Pass and they were extremely helpful.
