Hey all, looking for a little help here. I landed hard on a double up last Saturday and I think I pulled my LCL. Hurts some to walk on it, no swelling, still have full range of motion. Sometimes when I walk it feels like there is a small pop on the lateral side of my knee. I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go wakeboard all weekend, and need to know of a brace I can get quick. I'll probably look into a better one once I get back. I have one that has hinges on both sides, but its a cheapie and I hate it. It doesn't fit tight around my knee, just my calf and thigh, and the hinges don't do a lot of good. Also it is bulky and I don't have my full range of motion with it on. I have been trying to do some light riding on it without a brace, but its a major mental battle, with little pain from the knee. I'm looking for a brace that is less bulky and more supportive, something that is NOT from Wal-Mart.
Thanks for any suggestions. I haven't been to a doc, was hoping to avoid that, but may have to go to get a prescription for a decent brace.

Hey Tiffany. I'm sorry to hear about the injury. Unfortunately, I do not have any suggestions for a knee brace. Be careful with that injury. I was originally diagnosed with an LCL sprain, it turned out to be a partially torn ACL. However, I did have swelling, so I'm guessing you are going to be fine. Good luck.

Try www.thekneeshop.com Timing's a little tough if you're leaving tomorrow, though.
