board broke!!

Well I was riding this weekend, and when I went to edge my board just broke in half. I've never even heard of this happening. I have a 03 byerly 142. I bought it from Memphis boat center and was just wondering if I would be without a board for the rest of the year or do you think they'll give me a new one?

umm they should definetly give u a new one. hyperlite has good costumer service but i figured out for most teh stuff u gotta go through your shop or an hl rep

That is strange, i have never heard of a board breaking that way before, I have broke a board once off some huge air. Provided you have never hit sliders with the board, Hyperlite are usually quite good with their warranty.

I have never hit a slider or anything like that. I'm just wondering if the boat place will give me a new one right then or do you think I will have to wait for hyperlite to send me one. I mean that could take months proably and I ride about two or three times a week.

If the shop is any good, they should give you a new board then and there. They should atleast give you a demo to use intil HL send in a new one.

yeah, I was the one riding doubles with him. You should have heard the board pop. I thought the handle hit is board or something. He was actually carving real hard to spray me, I heard a pop and then he fell. I'll try to post the pic.

I have a 137 byerly and it's starting to crack in the same spot your board is broke. I just noticed it 2 days ago. That kind of sucks.

just talked to them and it will be about three weeks before i can get another board. They're waiting on the 04's now, so supposedlyt he first one that comes in I get it. At least I get the new one, I just hope I like it as well as this board
