Has anyone skied behind a Nautique 226? How is it for skiing?

With a name like Super Air and it being touted as 'THE' Wakebaord boat, I doubt the wake is skier friendly for any level/ability.

actually it does have a wakeplate that is adjustable and when you get it up to sking speeds the boat really planes off well.

My friend has slalomed behind my X-Star and said its wake was as good as some direct drive boats he has been behind and that is the tow boat of the X-Games.

William,

The 226 does not have a wake plate, only the 211.

Notidad,

Just noticed this too. You've got the wrong boat also. He asked about the 226 - not the Super Air. I've got one but have not skied behind it yet. At 36-36 it lays down pretty good. The average skier should have no complaints about slaloming behind it.

William,

Not sure which X-star you buddy skied behind but I doubt it's the 2005+ hull. I skied behind one last year and it was quite difficult. First off there is no central tow point so we had to hook the rope to the bar on the back of the boat. With it that low it drug through the spray coming off the sides pulling me forward in the turns. I finally gave up on turns and just made some whip style cuts. I would guess that your buddy skied behind the old X-star that is not the X1? I have heard those are good crossover boats.
