Went out yesterday to find that my 3 year out seals, neck, ankle, and wrist seals were shot. Neck seal ripped just at the glue line. Wrist seals were showing signs for drying out and cracking.
I store my drysuit in my closet during off season with no prep for the seals for lay up.
So, I decided to go for it thinking the neck seal wouldn't let in that much water. Well after my second fall found that I was taking in water.
Got back in the boat to find that I now had a 2" gaping hole in the rear.
Pulled it off and found that the seal had split and the glue was pretty dry.
I've had this thing close to 10 years and I'm not going to bother getting it fixed because I feel the glue won't hold due to the age of the suit.
Anybody have a drysuit longevity stories?
Chris
