I am in the process of testing boats to find a good cross-over boat. I am looking for a camp that might use the CC SV-211. A day spent with someone who rides behind their boat and knows the weight distributions is better than a sales rep. test drive. Any information would be appreciated, and I am willing to travel, preferably on the west coast.

Hi Gregg,

There are a couple of us on here but more on planetnautique.

The 211 is pretty versatile. The wakegate really works but not the way most guys think. It really just shapes the wake, doesn't really make it bigger or smaller. The biggest mistake people make with it is putting too much weight forward. If you want a nice tall ramp run the rear corners full and the front 1/2 to 3/4 full depending on the remaining load in the boat, I ride at 22-23mph 75-80' out. For wakesurfing run the center and one rear corner full, it makes a nice ridable wake with stock ballast at 8.5mph. For slalom empty all the tanks and make darn sure it is running level, any lean will cause one wake to get very sharp.

My boat is torn apart in the garage right now, it will probably be back together in a month. I would be happy to take you out and show you my 211.

PM me if you want to know more.

Mike
