having issues asking for money

So, I'm having issues asking my buds for money when we go out on my boat. It's usually just my best friend and I who ride. The rest of the people on the boat watch and maybe ride for 5 minutes or so. Of course, the other people that come on the boat are invited by my friend...

My wife is getting a little upset because no one offers gas money. I seem to remember not forking over cash when we went on my buddys boat, but then again we always brought the food and drink.

Since we have the bigger boat, there always seems to be too many people to use his boat.

Of course, we've only had the boat out like 4 times, so...it's not bothering me yet. Still, I'm going to have a hard time asking for gas money...and then again, I'm going to start getting bitter if I have to dish out $100/day on gas and no one offers to help

Maybe I should get a sticker on the boat that says something so people get the hint.

As you can tell, I'm a pushover when it comes to the money thing.
