Weighting a MC Maristar 230 for Surfing?

Hey all - just bought a 2000 Maristar 230 and am wanting to surf it.

Has anyone surfed a Maristar 230 (believe X30 is the same hull) and how was the wake?

What was the best combo for ballast?

Any and all advice is appreciated............ .

I have a 210 and get a pretty god wake with the pro x integrated bow sac and the v-drive sacs (400lbs each). Not sure how the extra two feet of boat might affect you, but it will probably be beneficial. I think I will switch to the 750lb bags in the rear over the winter. You can hardly have too much weight! Put a little more weight on the surf side to clean it up.

The 1998 225 and 2000 230 are exactly the same hull.
