Well, I'm back in the realm of winter and sitting on some of the best skimboarding footage ever taken. 51 days wasn't nearly enough, I want to go back... (Message edited by CAskimmer on December 14, 2008)

Damned, skimboarders really rules. I think they are most agile from all type of boardriders. For me its best boardsport. Then surfing then the others. I love Beard-ed video, its sick.

wait a second, don't you get worked in the sand if you fall while skimboarding? is there an easy way to bail in order to avoid a painful landing?

can't say exactly where but all the pics are taken somewhere in the Cabo region. Here's a few leftover B clips of Scott Flores, one of Cabo's best skimboarders who also is getting into wakesurfing. (lyrics contain a couple f bombs for the easily offended) and a 1 minute timelapse of us cleaning out the Pescadero bowl shown above. I just got back from Cabo. I never saw any waves of that size. We surfed Costa Azul. My girlfriend and I had never been surfing (only wakesurfing) so we had Alex Olea give us a few lessons. He is an amazing person.

The spot in front of the Costa Azul surfshop is called Zippers. It's a summer break and doesn't really pick up the North swells. If you would have drove 30 minutes North it would have likely been overhead. (but not very suitable for the 1st time)

We were actually just south of Zippers, I forget what it's called. My girlfriend is hooked!
