I’m pretty sure everyone knows we are working with LiveStrong, S&W Performance Marine, and MasterCraft Boat Company this year to give away the new X-Star (see www.mastercraft.com or our website for details) but this event is extra important and we wanted to get the word out.

LiveStrong is having a National LiveStrong Day on Tuesday, May 13 to raise funds for cancer research and awareness. Mile High Wakeboarding is doing our very small part in Denver, to help out. If you are in the area on this day, we are offering free wakeboard pulls, mini-lessons, and boat rides to anyone that donates $30 or more, directly to LiveStrong. We are also giving away a free/bonus entry into the X-Star Sweepstakes for those that donate.

We will be at Sloans Lake, near the main building/ranger station from 10:00am to 7:30pm (and maybe later) for those that wish to stop by. LiveStrong personnel will also be in town.

If you can’t make it, but would like to help out, go directly to www.livestrong.org or download the pledge form on our website and fax or mail it to us. Even if it’s $1.00, every little bit helps!!

Our sponsors will also be there with tons of swag and freebies to give away to those that donate $10 or more, and those people will also receive a very special perk from Quiksilver and Monster - worth way more than $10. (We may even throw in something really, really cool for anyone that donates over $100-$200. Since we have pro clinics in the works with Murray, Adkison, Moye, Greenwood, and a few others, we can share some wakeboard love for those that help out!)

So for one day, make it about someone else and try to fit it into what’s probably, already a crazy-busy schedule. I’m sure anything you can do is appreciated!!

A quick update. all is ready and permitted for Sloans, but we may move this over to Hidden Lake (down the street) at the new restaurant so everyone gets better water. Perfect scenario, we may even get Tommy's band to throw down some Classic Rock tunes for us music lovers.

We will keep the location updated on the website if/when we change it over to Hidden Lake.

More updates:

We have some pretty sweet prizes to giveaway, among them is a signed copy of Shaun Murray's new Detention 2012 video. I was lucky enough to get a couple copies last week, and it's one of the few available until they go on sale this week or next (or whenever you receive your next issue of WBM).

Also, Lance Armstrong and Chris Brewer (LAF's grass roots organizer) are both in Denver and Boulder on Tuesday, May 13. You just never know who could show up to sign an autograph or take a boat ride with you!!

Could really make your day if you are a fan of the man!!

Thanks for the "bump" Brian. Just saw that and it made me giggle.

Thanks to everyone (all 3 of you - you know who you are - just kidding) who showed up and helped out to spread the word about what LAF is doing about cancer.

A very special thanks to Chris Brewer from LiveStrong and Lance himself for making special appearances in Denver. We'll keep the exposure going cause it's a great cause.
