which boat to buy?

I finally just sold my 2005 typhoon and am ready to buy the next one. Is there a general consensus as to the best boat out there for surfing? I am leaning toward the enzo but have not completely made up my mind yet. Any suggestions? My primary use will be surfing but my kids still love to board so I would want a good wake for boarding also. My budget is around the $55K area. Thanks in advance for any help. If I was to get the enzo, does anyone have any feedback as to the switchblade? Thanks again.

I love the wake on the Enzo, especially with the aftermarket Fat Sac that Barefoot International sells.

I've ridden behind an Enzo with the switchblade/ Wakezup a few times now and I'm not a big fan of it for wakesurfing.

Each time I've wakesurfed with that device deployed, it throws a spray up towards your face, making it very difficult to see. I'm as near sighted as a post :-)

and it's all I can do to see at all, with the spray.

I'd demo the Enzo with the blade down wakesurfing and check the spray before plunking down the money on that device.

Thank you. I do plan on taking it for a demo this week. Is this the boat you would get if you were buying now? What is the opinion of it for wakeboarding? Anyone?

I'm a huge fan of the Enzo for wake surfing. Inland Surfer has 2 and we can't see using a different boat. Ours are setup with a custom ballast sac from Barefoot Interantioanl. You can see pictures of the wake at www.inlandsurfer.com. The pics should speak for themselves. Also, the sideswipe exhaust works very well. Additionally the wakeboard wake (even with no ballast) is plenty big for most riders.

I hear nothing but good about the Tige's, especially the 24V. I am told it's surf wake is good even without additional ballast. Tige's also seem to be one of the best for a good surf wake on both port and starboard.

Thanks for all the imput. Sorry to disappoint all the BU enthusiasts but I ordered my new Enzo last week. It is being built as we speak and I should have it in about 2 weeks. Thanks for all the advice and I will let everyone know how it performs.

Make sure you contact fly high and get yourself and "Enzo sac". You can pull out the stock ballast tank on the Port side and replace it with a 1500 lb bag. You should be able to use all the existing connections and pumps (providing they didn't change that system in 06)
