Is anyone out there putting security systems in their boats for when the cover gets lifted and some puke steps in? What will work and where can you get it?

I got one recently, regular car alarm with an infra red instead of motion sensor. Works like a charm.

Check out this site. This guy is great to deal with. I just installed the FS301-DSP Remote Alarm with the magnetic sensors on all hatches, one deck sensor and the trailer sensor. Really easy to install and works great.

Got mine Done at Best Buy... has a shock sensor and the remote tells me what part of the boat got hit. also has a little "force field" gadget that goes off if anyone steps into the boat. turns on tower speakers when activated... not too expensive, and their instals are done right

I leave the keys in my '04 X-Star and have no problem with it.

Well, I will be installing one in my boat now, since someone got in and ripped off my amps and sub sometime during the last two weeks.

Here is what I am going for:
A basic car alarm with "radar motion detector". The motion detector will sense any motion inside the boat (although I am a bit concerned about the wind on the cover....). I intend to put magnet switches on all the hatches.

I also plan on running a wire along with the rope that tightens the cover down so that it will trip the first stage of alarm when they try to remove the cover.

I'll let you all know when I have it installed and working.....
