My buddy has a couple of those Launch Pad 440 square sacs. What a pain in the a$$ to get those things completely empty. It is like there is some secret compartment in those sacs that always wants to retain about 50lbs of water...

You can squeeze the water out of those sacs, or just hold them up by one end and let the water drain out of the internal compartment. I agree, it is a PITA, but you can get the water out.

go pro-x. the quality is unrivaled. i have the 680# seat sack and have no complaints. also, you can get them custom built in any size/shape you desire.

Pro X series. You get a quick disconnect fitting with them that uses a standard 3/4" thread. You don't need the fancy pump. NO more blue thingy!

I have had both, recently upgraded the front sac to Pro-X. It's great. I like the fact that it drains completely.

I had the 440 Launch Pad, and it was a pain to get all the water out. I talked to the Launch Pad guy, and he explained that the original design has a baffle system that could cause a problem. He said they have fixed that design issue, so if you need a rectangular 440 to fit a certain space, the new one is probably OK.

And another vote for Pro-X. Super-sturdy, and the valves are great!

Anyone using the v-drive sacs? I do not have a v-drive but figured they would be good for either side of the engine ?

I have the Pro-X v-drive sacs, and they rock! I started with the Launch Pad 440lbs, then switched to the Pro-X. I used them in my old Supra Comp direct drive on each side of the engine, and they worked perfectly. I just upgraded to a '99 Malibu VLX, and can't wait to put them in the rear compartments.

How did you hook them up to the stock ballast system? Anything special needed?

Gene, the Pro-X comes with its own plastic fittings, including 2 with a 3/4" barbed hose attachment. Just slide the hose on and clamp it. If you are using 1" hose you will need a special fitting.

Talked to the guy's at B.F.I. For '06 they will have a fat seat and a under the bow seating sack in the Pro-X series.
