All right, we are getting closer and closer to the annual Santa run on Lake Washington (North Side of I-90 Bridge) 12/24. What we are planning is meeting at the Mercer Island boat launch at 11am (the one under I-90 facing Bellevue). I'm guessing that we'll be on the water next to bridge around 11.30. So far we have 2 boats and about 9 people lined up. The Santa Dry Suit has been secured and the Skyskis are polished. I'll bring my boat too incase we have more riders (worst case, might use it as a chase/camera boat) Cliff, you and the sideways standing reighndeers down? I'd love to see about 4 boats total out there. So far, the extended forecast is calling for 42'F and sunny! (Message edited by magic on December 16, 2004)

2005 Santa Run...count me in. As for the 2004 Santa Run...not this year. As I am surfing in Hawaii on the 24th, I will think about you guys back here in Seattle. Don't forgot the elfs in Cliff or Jeff's boat. Take lots of pictures and post please. Have fun.

Sean, Yes the sideways standing crew is down. Santa will have a couple elves with him this year. Cliff picked up some costumes that are big enough to fit over our dry suits. Joe, How long you in town for? Hitting the slopes while you are here? Try to make it out if you can. Hahn, You must be getting soft in your old age…. It has not been that long since you left the Seattle winter scene. Although I must admit… warm weather and sun would be a nice addition right about now. Not even a hint of a tan left from the summer.

"frankie didn't sound happy about it when i mentioned it to her" i'm calling you out on this one, joe. so what joe really meant to say was that he told me and i said that i didn't think i'd ride ('cause it'll be cold and choppy) but that it sounded fun and i'd be down with hanging out in the boat. of course, this didn't give joe the excuse he needs to blame "not going" on me. so he made up what you see above. and that's the truth, . I don't want to talk about the weather! Baker gets lots of snow and can provide for an epic day. Downside is the long drive from Seattle and often the visibility is poor. Steven’s Pass. Not open yet… but a good variety of terrain and definitely better that the Summit at Snoqualmie! “Snow-crummy”… yes it’s close to Seattle… but the elevation is not very high and the runs are short. I used to teach there…. Good for nights after work but not my first choice for weekends. Check in next week to see what slopes are open before you bring all your gear.

Joe - These guys are just fun to be with (some wakeboard, some snowboard), my search is not over. I still need a guy that is willing to climb into Seattle water temps in December and January. But these guys provide some entertainment when I am in town on the weekends. I know finally.....

Already talking about how cold it is and you are not even in WA yet.... It's ok if you just ride in the boat... we won't make you get in the water. Sean.... Cliff and I are already talking about hitting lake WA earlier to get in some ridding. Check with him about the schedule.

Just borrow one... less of a headache from having to lug it on the plane. If you don't mind ridding HL... you can use my Belmont, Premier, or TFD. Just let me know and I can bring em along. BUT...You will not be allowed to delete the picture of yourself climbing out of the cold water and cringing on the back of the boat this time.

Sean - If you guys need a third, I don't leave for the airport tomorrow till 11am, so I could come out from 9-10:30am probably if you guys needed a third. Cliff - Quit it! I am already having a difficult time working anyways today, then you go and remind me about the lake conditions. Great, the rest of the day now, I will keep popping over to the webcam. Christie, Not yet. Might me on the front porch though… I will check tonight. Thanks again for sending it back. Been looking for a botty! B, I don’t know… I think you may have been replaced as the official winter third. Call and check with Cliff…. He has a better idea of who all is going… sounds like we may have a good turnout. I am sure you can sit up in the bow. Glad you finally get a day off from work. Let me know if you want to get breakfast in the am first. later.
