extend the warranty???

my hours are over the limit on my 05 VLX.

Have had very minor issues only.

What is your opinion of extended warranties?

6 yrs for me. but mine is more of a resale thing.

It goes with the boat if/when sold, so helps a lot with resale. Also will cover much of the stuff that just happens with boating.

They can offer extended warranties because they take in more than they spend. The odds are in your favor. So the question is do you feel lucky (or unlucky).

I believe if I never get extended warranties on everything I buy, then when something actually does break, I will still come out ahead comparing the cost of the fix vs. all the extended warranties.

^^^ Well said. I personally like extended warranty. Mine is supose to cover all kinds of stuff engine,trans,v-drive,ballast,boards,bindings, etc.

i have talked to a couple of dealers...where did you get yours?

they have said that if i use the warranty i pay the shop and the warranty company pays me back..is that how yours works??

Mine has a $20.00 deductible and that's all I have to pay. I bought mine from my dealer. It is FPC premium marine protection(800-328-8690).
