With all the buzz about flex boards I feel like I should give them a try. I have the chance to demo some boards, wondering if I should try the Recoil 138 or the Response 145? I'm 6'0/205. I only get to take one board at a time, so I wanna have the most out of the weekend and not get wrong size. I norm ride a 140.

i'm more of a fan of the Response. i've owned a Recoil 142, and a Response 142. i'm 5'11" (6' on a good day, HAHA...sorry it's been a long week) and weigh 205. i dig the response more. seems to me that you get just as much air on the response, yet it's a little faster.

Do you want more skate ollie, PoP?

Or

More Loading up the board, Pop?

Out of the two types of boards Slingshot offers, the Recoil will give the skate feel where as the Response will have more of a snowboard type feel and will need more load to get it to pop well. I think the Response is sick for the cable and going big into the flats or as a sick free ride board to press the hell out of it. Although the Recoil feels good between the wakes and seems easier to pop and ollie with.

2 cents

Nice! Thanks for the info, I'm used to the Hyperlight state 140, so thhis board should be dramaticaly diffrent. I ended up going with the Response 145 for the weekend, hope it's SICK!
