Lake Samish, Bellingham ... looking for info

New to town and Lake Samish looks to be the closest lake to my house. Does anyone have some info on this lake... IE, where to launch, how's the water, what to look out for, etc etc. ???

lake sam i s awsome and you will get alot of info here. there are 2 launches one is the state launch at the south end and the other is private and called vasser park. most people ride the north end of the lake. you should grab a cheep mape and it will show all the under water forest to be carefull of and deffinatly look out for the sand bar between the public launch and the state park. welcome to the NW.

I was hoping to launch out the north end. Where do I get one of those maps/charts?? Any sites I can go online?

Hold on Ronia liljohn is talking about lake sammamish it's a different lake and in Issaquah. Lake samish is just south of Bellingham. I know a kid on the college ski team up there and they also have wakeboard competitions on the lake. I don't know of anymore than that, but hear it's a great lake.

Mikey and Nick Ennen are from there as well. The water is a little colder up north but it's a sweet lake.
