Just curious Im taking my boat out for her maiden voyage this weekend and want to do some surfing....I have 2500 lbs of stock balast so Im thinking fill the bow which is 500 lbs then the left side of the boat with 1000 lbs and just have everyone sitting on that side does that sound like aplan or should I do something different?

You should be more than ok to surf. I have an 05 B52 Team Edition (21') and I throw a big wake with the front and left ballast filled. Here is a pic of the wake with only the front and left ballast filled. I have one 120# 13 year old on the left side taking the picture and the driver.
