Using the MP3 outlet in the new Malibus?

Spent quite a chunk of time trying to figure out how to get my iPod hooked up to the boat to get it to play thru the MP3 plugin spot. I set the stereo to USB 1 & AUX 1 & 2 and coudn't get either to work, tried all the accessories switches and that didn't seem to work either. What am I doing wrong? I've gone through all the manuals and am unable to find where it goes into using the MP3 part. Any help would be awesome, thanx a ton guys.

Interesting....we have a new VLX and have used our Ipod quite a bit. We just set the stereo input to AUX and it works fine. Have you checked with the dealer?

did you have the volume of the Ipod on Max?

I have no problems plugging mp3 players into the stereo on the '06 using AUX as the input on the stereo. I do have to turn it up a lot, but that's pretty typical with most stereos and mp3 players
