Does anyone ride behind a weighted x15? I am looking at one and would like a wake similar to a VLX. It looks like it would be. Same beam, Just about the same length, and a similar hull shape. I was thinking 400's in the rear about 1k of lead in the middle and a 750 in the bow. Pictures would be a plus. Thanks.

There were some guys who did a nice review last year on this. Do a search. There were pics and the whole shabang. They were very pleased with the boat, both with stock and then with extra weight.

I have ridden it with just stock ballast and found it to be very nice. I like a stock LSV wake a little better, not sure if that means anything compared to the VLX.

If you are contemplating VLX vs. X-15, you live in a good world and that is a nice problem to have. Ride both and go with your heart.

If your looking at an x15 you will want more than the 350hp, they work really hard to go onto plane when loaded up.

Probably the second best wake in the MC line next to the X-star. Totally different shape, though. Less transition, more kick at the top. More like a X1 with a wider wake or a SAN 210 with lots of nose weight.

I'd say you can't miss with that boat.

If you like the vlx wake, why are you looking at an x15? Just get a vlx.

Ive got an 08 with the fly high kit installed. The rear bags are 425 each and I figure I get 400 or so out of the bow bag. Plus another 300 lbs in lead. For a total of 2400lbs or so. I think the wake is perfect. As said before it gets that lip like the VLX but with a better transition like the Xstar. Believe me I tried them all and thought the X15 offered the perfect blend. Plus the surf wake is great on both sides. Upload

Nice pic - I love the snow in the background, no leaves on the trees - very hard core!

I agree, the X-15 loaded up has a great wake. You can go for a bigger motor, or get the trim tab (or get both I guess). The trim tab really helps get the boat on plane when it is loaded up. Once you are on plane, you then trim it up to get the wake bigger.

I did that review mentioned above last fall.
I will try to find it.
